Tree Planting

We specialise in native broadleaved woodland creation though are available for commercial planting contracts too. Having designed and implemented EWCO (England Woodland Creation Offer) grants for farmers, landowners, and environmental charities, we know how to plant to the specifications of a scheme. In the years after planting, we can provide beat up services, including tree tube removal. We are happy to tackle locations which are difficult to get to, for example, tree planting in remote upland areas.

Drystone Walling

We provide a full range of drystone walling services including: field gap repairs, wall ends, and stone stiles. We have experience working across a range of different types of stone and are happy to wall in remote  locations. For advice on applying for walling grants, such as the standalone capital grant available under Countryside Stewardship, please get in touch.

Hedgelaying

We follow the Lancashire and Westmorland hedgelaying style in which the laid hedge is staked on both sides. We promote the use of untreated wood for staking and can help landowners to source, for example, coppiced hazel poles. We also plant hedges and gap up existing hedges. There are currently grants available for hedgelaying under Countryside Stewardship.

Other Services

Nature conservation projects can be complex and require a range of services. In addition to our core services, we also offer extras, including but not limited to: wildflower plug planting to enhance meadow restoration schemes; tree cage construction for wood pasture grants; soil sampling to test nutrients and carbon in soils; biological recording for select species such as butterflies and bumblebees.
